A little bit about me...
Raised and educated in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Neil brings a distinctly international perspective and disciplined professionalism to his work in real estate. He began his career in Washington, D.C., at the United States Department of State, where he developed a foundation in diplomacy, analysis, and strategic thinking—skills that continue to inform his approach to complex transactions and client representation.
Following his public service, Neil founded SCAN Development, an international new business development and strategic marketing firm serving global publishing clients. In this role, he advised organizations on market expansion, positioning, and growth, further honing his expertise in negotiation, branding, and cross-border business strategy.
In 2010, Neil launched Wall and Rah LLC, an online art gallery complemented by a brick-and-mortar location at 24 Front Street in Millbrook, New York. The gallery quickly became a respected presence in the regional cultural landscape, reflecting Neil’s longstanding engagement with the arts, design, and the stewardship of distinctive properties.
Drawing on a multi-generational family background in international real estate development, Neil founded Neil Charles Real Estate LLC. The firm focuses on residential, commercial, and investment real estate throughout New York’s Hudson Valley and Litchfield County, Connecticut. Under his leadership, the brokerage is defined by thoughtful advisory, market intelligence, discretion, and a highly personalized approach to client service—qualities that distinguish it within the region’s luxury and investment markets.
Neil was educated at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland and Rugby School in the United Kingdom, and attended the University of London and New York University. He is fluent in French and Spanish. Neil resides in Sharon, Connecticut, with his wife and daughter and remains deeply connected to the communities he serves.
